George Rogers is an Underwriter within Liberty’s Aviation team, appointed in December 2023. In this role, he is responsible for underwriting the Airline, General Aviation, Hull War and Excess AVN52E portfolios, applying specialised expertise in aviation exposures and geopolitical risk.
Prior to this, George served as an Assistant Underwriter in Liberty’s Aviation division from August 2021. During this period, he strengthened his technical underwriting capabilities and developed a deep understanding of complex, high‑severity risk classes.
George began his career at Liberty in 2017 as an Underwriting Assistant in the Marine division, supporting the Marine Hull and War & Terrorism classes. He later progressed to Senior Underwriting Assistant before transitioning into Aviation.
He has particular expertise in small‑ to medium‑sized passenger and cargo airlines and has proven experience underwriting business in geopolitically sensitive regions. George combines practical underwriting proficiency with a pragmatic approach to risk selection and portfolio management, supporting Liberty in delivering tailored and commercially sustainable aviation solutions.
